Spending the Day with Bob (the) Cat

Yesterday mom got up to let me and Jimmy go outside to do our morning business to see Da Boyz, Oscar and Sammy, barking up a tree. Mom seen the shadow (the sun hadn't poked up yet) climbing up the tree higher and higher.  We was all excited to have a visitor!  That was when we met Bob...

He found a spot he liked and it looked to me like he was wanting to have himself a cat-nap..  There he stayed all day...

We didn't call him Bob for nothing, as he is a bonafied Bobcat.  He must have been a young'un, because he wasn't really big.  Good thing for us, he wasn't looking for a fight or to cause any trouble either.

Bob even smiled (sort of) for the camera!

Until one of us dogs were sniffing around the bottom of the tree, that is...

Before Bob had to leave (me is sure he had other things to do), me took a picture wiff him to comemorate his visit.

After the sun had set, we all went in the house to let Bob be on his way wiffout a lot of sad good-byes.  And so Bob went, some 12 hours after arriving, just as he had appeared... As a shadow cast between the day and the night...

That's it for now...

Naturally, me just had to take surfing lessons!

Me gets back to camp wiff a few supplies....

...and the next morning me takes hula lessons!

Later me and Bonzer had a picnic so me could show off my hula moves *giggles*

We played Bingo that night too, and me won a door prize!

Me is glad me has a big strong furiend like Bonzie who helped me load my stuff onto the plane!

Who's Game is it Anyway?

Back when me was a young pup, me knew "fetch" was gonna be one of my favorite games.  But me had to teach mom how to play!  So in the mornings, mom would start to put on her shoes and me would bring her a toy...  Instead of telling me "no" or making me get down, she would toss it, hoping me would play wiff the toy while her finished putting on her shoes.  Nope!  Me would bring it back and give it to her, and she would toss it again...  Her would finally get her shoes on, but she learned how to play at the same time!  (you CAN teach an old mom new tricks *snickers*)

Her bought me lots of different balls, but my favorite was (and still is) my red Kong Ball.  It's tuff so it lasts a long long time and bounces really high!

Me was quite the high-jumping  fetcher when me was young...  Now that me has gotten older, we still play fetch, but mom doesn't make me work so hard to get it.  That is if it's just us two playing...

My annoying brofur Jimmy likes to play too, but him doesn't want to wait his turn (not like me would let him have a turn), it is MY ball after all.  So mom will toss the ball, and both Jimmy and me scrambles after it...  Most of the time, me gets it first.

But every so often, Jimmy will use his little dog size to slide under me and steal the ball away!  Mom laughs, me pouts and Jimmy celebrates...

bye for now....

aaaaaROOOOOOOOO!

Greetings and salutations!  My name is Reba and me is an Australian Cattle Dog/Aussie mix.  For them that doesn't know, Cattle dogs are also known as Red Heelers, Blue Heelers & Queensland Heelers, descendant of the Australian Dingo...

Me lives wiff my mom, my annoying little brofur, Jimmy

and Da Boyz, Sammy & Oscar.

We has lots of squirrels to chase and rabbits too!  Some times the squirrels get in the walls of our house and me waits for them, patiently, to greet them when them comes out of the wall.

Well me thinks this is good for my first dog blog post and me will blab some more another day.  It's gonna be fun!  You can find me on Dogster playing or me is also on FaceBook as Reba Lee (not my last name really, but mom says me is so Reberly, get it?)

For a kitty's point of view, check out my pal Guido the Italian Kitty's blog, the Guido Gazette...
